As a Pittsburgh institution since 1974, The Public relies on the generosity of local philanthropic leaders to help us serve and enrich our community with extraordinary theatrical experiences.

The Public's annual Gala is the season's largest benefit event, raising funds to support productions designed and built locally for Pittsburgh audiences, employ gifted regional artists alongside national talent, inspire empathy and hope in young people, and share powerful stories that connect us.
