In 1955 Louisiana, tensions arise between a long-standing black family and their new white neighbors over an oak tree steeped in history on the black family’s land. This tree, once a lynching site in the 1800s, holds deep significance for the black family, who gather there every third Sunday to honor their ancestors. Follow this family as they transform trauma into ritual and a tragic site into a sacred meeting place for prayer and remembrance.
