“Planes” by Corey
Planes are my favorite thing.
The pilot is trained well.
It’ really cool to see them landing.
The airport is next to a hotel.
In the cockpit I’d imagine it is tight.
Sometimes there’s one pilot, sometimes there’s two.
Hold on, let's make a right.
Whenever they land we all scream, woo hoo.
Some planes can go fast.
The altitude is high in the thousands.
Planes didn’t go that fast in the past.
Planes fly over the mountains.
Have you ever flew?
Have you?
“Cats” by Lily

”Ocean” by Angelia
How nice it feels, the ocean mist,
With beautiful dolphins at play,
Having everything they ever wished,
On this amazing summer day.
Swimming through the water, astounding and blue,
You see the beautiful ocean, waves splashing and foaming,
The seals, whales, and seahorses all good as new,
And on the sandy seafloor, you can see crabs and lobsters roaming.
Throughout the ocean you can see
Octopi, squid and fish, very content as they swim,
Every living creature here is happy as could be.
And now all the sea creatures search for a place to rest as the day gets more and more dim.
Coral, sea plants, fish, octopi, sharks, all part of the extraordinary circle of sea life,
And, maybe if your lucky you will see a streak of a blue male dolphin swimming with his wife.
“My Favorite Planes” by Julian
My favorite plane is the Boeing 747.
It seats over six hundred passengers
and has four turbine engines.
The 747 is 735,000 pounds in mass numbers.
The 747 was recently retired back in July.
And not many 747 pilots were hired.
The 747 was so big it had to fly miles high.
A long runway was always required.
The A380 is one of my favorite planes of all time.
The A380 was not retired yet but the last one was made this year.
Although I have never seen one the color of a lime.
On this plane you would have no fear.
The A380 is the biggest airliner of all time
It was a pain in the neck to get this last sentence to rhyme.
“My Little Tree Frog” by Leland
My cute tree frog,You inspire me to write.
How I love the way you eat bugs and hop,
Invading my mind day and night,
About the way you jump to a treetop.
So so beautiful,
So so bright,
I think about you as usual.
Always through the day and even through the night.
Oh How are you life can be dreary,
Oh how it can be fun,
It even can be eerie,
After the fade of the sun.
Oh tree frog Oh tree frog,
You fade away into the fog.

“Virtual School” by Joey

“Guinea Pigs” by MJ
They are fluffy and sometimes fat
They are always hungry and want to be fed
Always waiting to run from a cat
They love getting scratched on head
They like cucumbers and potatoes
They have cages mostly of wire
Their absolute favorite foods are tomatoes!
They have cage-keepers they don’t hire
They love to roam in the grass
They don’t like climbing trees
They will eat grass until they look like a huge mass
They hate getting stung by a swarm of bees
Guinea pigs are my dream pet
But I only have one that I have met
“Rainfall” by Emily

“Hockey” by Sophia
Skating down the long sheet of ice
My hair flowing behind me
It feels so, so nice
It was definitely meant to be
My parents cheer me on
My brother sometimes, too
If you blink, I could be gone
Skating away from you
I skate backward
Angling off a rival
Transitioning forward
Waiting for the puck’s arrival
I love to play hockey, for it is so fun
Ask a friend to try it, ask anyone
“Fun in the Sun” by Aaron
I love playing games
They are so fun
Victory I will proclaim
All I do is run
On the ground there are so many leaves
It is fun to jump in the piles
They fall from the trees
It will give you a smile
The sun is bright
It is very nice
You can fly a kite
Or play some dice
When you hear the basketball swish
The rim is like a dish
